In 2011, GWB was approached by Shanghai Culture Square Theatre conceive and produce the theatre’s opening production. A unique producing collaboration between GWB and Culture Square resulted in the development and presentation of Ultimate Broadway a production featuring leading principal performers from the US and UK along with local Chinese performers.

 

Due to the great success of Ultimate Broadway 2011 and 2012 the production returned two years later with a revised new version in 2015.

An exciting collaboration between Chinese and International creatives and artists, this production has starred Broadway and West End stars Lea Salonga, Summer Strallen, Kerry Ellis, Wesley Taylor, Ria Jones, Josh Young and Matt Rawle, ensemble members from London, around 20 talented local ensemble from Shanghai as well as a 40 piece orchestra.
